Rewiring your property does not only mean that your electrics and electrical cabling is upgraded to acceptable safety standards, but it can actually save you money.

Some of the most common reasons to consider upgrading your wiring are:

Safety

Arguably the main reason to have your electrics rewired is to make sure that you and your family are safe. An entire house rewire eliminates this concern.

If you have quite a few appliances in an older home which is frequent nowadays, then you are going to struggle to overload your electrical system with a better electrical installation.

Increased Electrical Capacity

Many homes built over 30 years ago only reach up to a 60 amp service which is widely considering as not as reliable. Newer houses now come with up to 100 amp which is considerately better.

If you are pondering having your home insured, then you should consider having your wiring checked as some home insurers will not protect your home if it is 60 amp or it will increase the price.

Wear And Tear Over Time

Loose socket connections are a symptom of old electrical installations. This can, however, lead to overheating and at the worst case scenario being a fire.

Rubber cabling is likely to have been used in older properties in which case; this will almost certainly have worn during this lifespan.

Insufficient Amount Of Socket Outlets

Overuse of extension leads and multi-plug adaptors risks overloading the electrical circuits. So make sure you have enough sockets safely installed.
